App Design Brief

A quick run down of the iPhone app and what it does:

1. It has a home screen for that restaurant that will guide you to the menu.
2. You can search the menu which has all the pictures of the items on the menu.
3. There are also ratings from the users on each item.
4. You can also order and pay from the app.

We would like something that is very clean, minimalist and uses modern design to convey the feeling of cultured.

I would like the designer to create at least 5 pages:

1. The Home screen to the restaurant. (call it American Cuisine) You can redo the buttons to make it look better. Like have a logo or something better than box buttons. Please use good looking easy to read fonts, Modern you might say.

2. and 3. The Menu page with 3 items and pictures per menu title like Appetizers and Entrees have it look as if it is dropping down (you can use your own photos or some from the web with descriptions like what you see on the Wire-frame)

4. The item drill down, as you click on an item from the menu it comes up with a larger photo of the item and the description and also the rating under the description. (see wire-frame)

5. The order page with items from the menu on the order page with prices.

I would like for the bottom menu to be updated with some nice looking buttons. For one the help now button I would like to have a circle with an outline of a person raising their hand.

I currently don't have a logo or photos so I will rely on your discretion to find the photos you need. I also have no particular colors in mind but here are some app designs I really like.

If you follow the same sort of app design with a photo in the background of the restaurant home page and clear design like this you will for sure win.

Also after this is done I will most likely have the winning designer create my logo, and app icon.

The target market of this App are people that can afford to eat out and enjoy using technology to have a better dining experience. Ages 16 to 45 Male and Female.

Requirements

Must have

• Clear, high quality photos, I don't want to see any individual pixels. Please read my outline carefully to understand what this app will do.

Nice to have

• I want to feel like I'm having a good experience from the moment I open the app the the moment I finish my meal with the app. Come up with something simple and creative for the user to experience while dining.

Should not have

• Please do not just submit my wire-frame in different colors that will be a waste of your time and mine. I don't want to see boxes as the buttons.
