Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a new real estate company called 'Geode Holdings, Inc'. We buy residential homes with the intention of remodeling and renting or selling them. The logo will be used on signage, business cards, brochures, etc. I'd like something that reflects that the company is professional, yet personal and trustworthy. I have no color preference. It is not necessary to incorporate the idea of a geode into the design, but if you can make it work I'd certainly consider it.
