Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a restaurant that is part of a hotel in South Lake Tahoe, CA. The hotel is called the Beach Retreat & Lodge at Tahoe, but typically known as the Beach Retreat. The new restaurant is off the lobby and is called the Tavern at Tahoe, but will mostly likely be known as the Tavern. The website for the hotel is www.tahoebeachretreat.com. (There is another hotel restaurant that is off the 1,000 ft. Pier that serves a lot of seafood and is all about the views -- it is called the Boathouse.)

The Tavern is comfortable, a gathering place, community tables, etc., sort of lodge-like. On the patio, you can sit outside in the summer and watch your kids in the pool and in the winter you can sit on the patio around the firepits. I am attaching the marketing plan. The food is traditional Tavern with local and healthy twists. So, you have burgers, etc., but also shrimp n' grits and salmon. The walls are natural logs and the tables are also wood. This is a gathering place -- there is a sense of community here. There are community tables -- wait, I already said that. Hmmmmmmm......I guess that means it's really important! The thing that is a little odd is that there are about 12 televisions. It's casual, but still upscale. I don't want something that is too traditional Tahoe -- lakes, logs, etc. -- something a bit more modern, but still comforting. Thanks!
