Logo Design Brief
Seeking a logo design for a luxury fashion start-up based in London.
We are Bugella. A start-up italian fashion label. All of our products are made in Italy.
The company is developing a line of exclusive apparel made from luxury fibres such as Cashmere, Vicuña, Angora, Guanco etc.
Items include outwear, scarves, pashminas and such.
Logo needs to evoke a sense of luxury and desirability. It needs to appeal to the wealthiest individuals in the world.
The logo needs to evoke timelessness, elegance, classic luxury and a feeling of nobility.
These are the brands we seek to emulate:
- Trussardi (http://www.gents.co.uk/upload/images/trussardi-logo.jpg)
- Bally (www.zakaalux.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/bally-logo1.jpg)
You can seek to create a whole new logo, or edit the one attached below (Bugella).
We are quite keen on the idea of having an interesting crest in the logo. You can modify the crest shown in the attached file or you can create one that is totally new. We are open to ideas. We particularly love the creativity of Brunello Cuchinelli and Loro Piana. These crests are traditional, stylish while also containing modern elements.
One recent thing we have decided on is to incorporate the bear into our design. you can have 2 bears 'support' the shield or incorporate it in some other way. We would like to use the bear as our symbol as it is more familiar to our clientele and can be better produced into company merchandise.
The text can be cursive as in the file or Loro Piana, or more modern such as in Bally. Open to other suggestions.
Looking forward to seeing your submissions!
Updates
Dear All,
We have just opted to commit to payment.
Some good designs received so far. However we are still waiting for some creativity on the company logo. The crest we are currently using in the file attached to the brief (named 'Bugella') doesn't look great in our opinion. You can either refine it or invent something totally new.
Some of our key inspirations are the logos of Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinelli, Della Ciana, and Trussardi. All images are attached in the files.
We really love the creativity displayed thus far by some designers.
We look forward to finding the right work for our company.
Thank you all and best of luck.

Just to add to my previous message,
The company manufactures clothes in 'Noble Fibres' which are things such as Cashmere, Vicuña, and Guanao etc.
So animals that represent our products are primarily Cashmere Goats, Llamas, Camels and Merino Sheep.
- Dormeuil produces wool cloth: They have three rams/sheep on their shield.
- Trussardi chose the greyhound as his emblem and uses it extensively.
- Brunello Cucinelli features a winged lion.
As you can see, our current emblem contains 2 Dragons. While we are okay with it, we are open to ideas that could potentially be more relevant to what we seek to do.
No Unicorns please.
We want a logo that defines that brand. One that really stands out and generates a strong identity.
Thanks again.

Hi All.
Sorry to keep bothering all of you with our thoughts.
We thought it would be nice for the company to have a more relatable animal as its emblem as opposed to the dragons. We have decided on Bears. I would ask you all to please work on a few more concepts that incorporate the bear. I have attached in the files a sample of bears in heraldry that we really liked. Feel free to use something else and create your own concepts.
Lastly maybe a ribbon at the bottom. I attached a sample in the files to give you an idea of what I mean.
Our reasoning for deciding on bears is the idea that, if we were ever to create company merchandise, it would be nicer to present our client with a bear as opposed to some form of dragon.
I hope you can all help out.
Thanks again.
