Flyer Design Brief

We need a 2 sided Rack Card design for Wicked Hostels - Calgary. Wicked Hostels is Calgary's newest and only independent backpacker hostel - owned and operated entirely by backpackers for backpackers. It is rated as one of the top 10 hostels in Canada. Main strengths/focuses are: guests only pay for their bed - everything else is free/included, exceptional personal service (the owner lives on-site and greets every guest like a friend), great hostel location and most importantly the most fun place to stay.

  • Must have Calgary prominently dispayed at the top of the front page visible when in a brochure rack. Must have the attached Wicked Hostel Logo on both sides. Must include the attached list of free amenities but feel free to play with wording, must have attached contact details with a focus on the website and toll-free number, Must promote the "Wickedness" of Wicked Hostels (we focus on fun (pub crawls, HD movies projected on the wall, activities every night, great location across from Calgary Stampede and on 17th Ave (The Red Mile -Calgary's main pub and restaurant area) and personal service - every guest hangs out with the owner Jeff who is a backpacker himself
Nice to have
  • Mix contemporary, cowboy and youthfulness. Focus on groups of good-looking young people having great experiences together
Should not have
  • Cliches are a cussword here - most average Canadian hostels go for faked polaroid shots, moose, bears, hiking,
