Logo Design Brief

Hill Country DJ is a new mobile DJ company in Austin, Texas. We provide musical entertainment for weddings, corporate events, and other parties. We play all types of music, not just country.

We would like to see designs that work well on everything from business cards to banners and t-shirts. Submissions should have a more elegant design to them as opposed to what a club DJ might use. Designs should not be overly "country" or "down home". However, we'd like to see designs that are different than the typical script and frills that most wedding vendors use. Some fonts that we enjoy are Abadi and Century Gothic.

We come from architectural and journalistic backgrounds, so we enjoy modern, clean designs. It would be considered a bonus if part of the design could stand on its own for use as a favicon, much like twitter & facebook.

If the design incorporates DJ imagery like records or headphones, we'd like to keep it pared down & elegant. Again, please no club DJ designs.

We took the name "Hill Country" from the rolling hills that surround Austin.

We'd like designs to say "Hill Country DJ" or "HillCountryDJ"
