Logo Design Brief
McTaggart and Co needs a company logo that is classic, yet modern to help brand their business.
McTaggart and Co or "McT & Co." is an independent, family-owned farm management company with three primary businesses :
- Farm management (leasing and managing farm land for 3rd party land owners - i.e. cultivating and growing crops on other people's land and sharing profits with them)
- Farm technology services (sophisticated drone and infra-red aerial photography to develop yield maps and data-based strategies to help farmers increase the quality and quantity of crops they can grow)
- Pioneer seed dealerships (corn and soybeans) - regional representative of Pioneer seeds working to sell both seed and advice to farmers in the region.
Target Market(s)
Primary audience - Family farmers and land owners in Illinois, Indiana and Iowa. Most of the audience are not tech sophisticated, or young and likely relate to something simple, classic that inspires trust and experience, but this does not mean it needs to be dated.

Requirements
Must have
- The McT logo you will design will often be on the same marketing collateral as the attached DuPont Pioneer logo. As such, it would be great to have it be a complimentary design that fits well together in terms of style, colors, without being overpowering or being overpowered.
Nice to have
- Logo that can be used as a standalone symbol, with short text (McT&Co) and longer full text of McTaggart & Co.
Should not have
- Other notes: While it is OK to include farm or agriculture related references, we prefer not to have any graphics that are too literal (I.e. corn, seeds or farm machinery) but are open to ideas that have these as more subtle or tasteful inclusions.
