Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a jewellery store based in Barbados called: Jewellers Discount International.

(Update on Font) We would prefer all designers to submit any font that has a feeling of simplicity and elegance. No script fonts please.

The attached files shows a photo of the colour scheme being considered for the store. A green similar to the wall colour in the photo is the primary accent colour in the store. The logo can incorporate a similar green and/or another colour that compliments it.

Thanks very much for your submissions. We've seen some great designs that have potential for further development and some others that are not quite what we're looking for.

This week we have been travelling in an effort to buy all that is needed for our new store, so we haven't had that much time to post feedback, so we've decided to extend the project for another week. 

Also, this will give some more time for other designers to submit designs, as we've seen other projects on this site receive far more designs than we have.

Hi Designers,


Thank you again for all your submissions. After reviewing them all we have a bit of feedback for everyone.

FONTS
We are drawn to the designs using sans-serif fonts. Also, no script fonts. 

LOGO TEXT LAYOUT
We would like the word "Jewellers" to stand out as the main word in the logo. "Discount International" should appear below "Jewellers" in a smaller less visible font.

LOGO IMAGE
We would like the pictorial part of the logo to appear either above or to the left of the text. It should be bold and able to stand alone as a logo itself without the text (just like the Nike swoosh).

Target Market(s)

Our store caters to the low to middle class clientele; so we want the look and feel of the logo to be one that reflects the comfortable and welcoming atmosphere of the store; we are not "snobby" or exclusive type of store, everyone is welcome and we have something for every budget, whether low or high.
