Logo Design Brief

We are creating a logo for our finance program, called CaliforniaFIRST. The existing logo was created internally in a hurry and it is time to improve it. Homeowners use the product to finance energy efficiency and solar projects on their homes and businesses. You can see the existing logo on the website www.californiafirst.org. We do probably need to continue using blue in the logo in some for or fashion, but are otherwise very open.
