Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a management consultancy focused on financial innovation and digital money, run by experts from the Financial Services, Telecoms and Money Transfer industries.
Our products include services such as Mobile Payments, Mobile Money, Digital Wallets, Online Payments, Branchless Banking and more. We work with regulatory information, business plans, financial modelling, strategic planning, new products functional specification, new technologies evaluation, etc.
We would like to see a design that communicate reliability (as it is based on the founder´s name) but with a twist of innovation. Designs should use preferably colors blue and/or black. It will be used in future web site as well as business cards. 2 versions shall be done: one with just the company name and another one accompanied by lettering (see uploaded file as old logo example).
