Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for our gelato manufacturer Annie's Ices Ltd. We are a start up business, based in rural, seaside south west England (Bridport, Dorset). We combine the delicious, local, seasonal ingredients of our area with our skills as cutting edge, high quality gelatieres (trained in Bologna, Italy). Our product range includes ice creams and gelato sticks. We are passionate about the flavour of our ice cream. We want the brand image to be 'contemporary seaside', a little edgy, passionate about quality, friendly (i.e. local, community-orientated). The look should be clean. We do not want cartoon cows frolicking on cartoon hills. Company colours not decided, but preference for white and blue.
Updates
Most of the designs we've received have been too traditional. This logo should be more contemporary, more 'edgy'. Too many ice creams in cones. We like some of the more abstract designs. The key is that the logo colours and font need to be instantly recognisable whether on a shopfront, or in a packed supermarket ice cream freezer. If using imagery, do not only do ice cream in cones, but think more widely, including lollies.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Designs too traditional. None of the logos are close so far. We want more contemporary, edgy designs, and are happy to consider abstract designs as well as gelato images (not only ice cream in cones but lollies). The logo needs to instantly identifiable in a packed supermarket freezer case, as well as on a lolly wrapper or the side of a shop.
