Illustration Design Brief

We need an illustration for the main character of a new children's book. The Winner will be given the opportunity to make illustrations for the whole book and get additional payment.
The readers will be between 4-8 years old and the only objective of the book is to make them laugh. The text of the book has already been "laugh approved" by a lot of children, and now we need an illustration that we can test with children. The book is about a Santa (not like father Christmas himself, more like Santa's helper, a Christmas elf). The "Santa" can't burb, and he is the only one in the Santa Village that can't burn. One day he gets really surprised because he burps so load that the house cracks. That is the illustration we need "a surprised Christmas Elf that burps so load that the house cracks". We are planning to do Apps and much more around this character so we want him to be special. It shouldn't be too much "christmas feel", think more like all year around Santa Village. I'm looking for an Illustrator that I can possibly do more projects with and that can prepare print files for books. Since the children are young I think it is important to use strong facial expressions.

Requirements

Must have

• Bright colours. Must be funny. Should be unique and kids should like "him" so much they want a t-shirt with him. I would like to build this idea bigger than just a book. Will be made into an app later (2d).

• Surroundings.
