Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for a new carpentry contracting company in Sydney nsw. Focusing on internal commercial fit out. I like my former employers logo which is attached below 'Xexenis'. I did an online example myself and sent it for embroidery which is attached below. I don't really like it, it looks a bit plain and simple to me compared to 'Xexenis'. I like KENNON followed by Commercial Residential underneath. But would like carpentry a little smaller but still in caps. The image is along the lines of what I'm looking for but I'm open on new ideas and colour. Over all pretty much looking a bold and contemporary design/logo
