Logo Design Brief

I am an art consultant/exhibition director that creates "art as activism" exhibitions featuring the work of women artists that travel around the country. I am now starting a company with a friend to go even larger, and we're currently working on our website content.

We need a logo that will stand out our our website but also translate well to a business card.

We would like the logo to include the text "GutfreundCornettArt" -- meaning the logo will just be our names and initials, pretty much just text based.

We'd like something that is elegant and strong and leans towards the serious rather than "whimsical" that you usually see associated with art. We're strong on activism and while we're working on the tag line -- it's something like "Changing the world one painting at a time".

The logo I've attached does not have color, but we like the clean design and how the letters are integrated. Perhaps something with GCA?
