Logo Design Brief

I would like to have a logo created that has some sort of defined "S" in the word Scholar...I'm open to a little symbol such as a microphone or podeum with the letter L in Scholar to show that we are a group of speakers. I'd like to use the colors black and gray with another bright non-gender specific color; also with maybe an underline below the font; not a must though
