Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for my residential real estate business in Maryland. The area of focus is the entire state so I have chosen "Blue Crab Homes" as the name to capture to region and type of real estate to be featured. I am looking for a professional looking logo (nothing cartoon-ish with the crab) that also captures the real estate aspect and not simply a blue crab. The design should convey that the company has Maryland origins and deals with real estate but should not include the name real estate in it (can include "Blue Crab", "Logo + Homes", "Logo + Blue Crab Homes").
