Graphic Design Brief

I need a wrap designed for a pilot hop on hop off tourist connector in richmond, VA. We are calling it the RVA Hop, short for Richmond Hop on, hop off and will enable tourists to move about a 15 mile, 90 minute loop, with 15 stops every 20 minutes. Nothing like it exists in Rochmond now.

We will be using seven vehicles, 2009 Chevrolet Champion Challengers (which seat 13 people) each for the 2013 tourist season, May 1-September 30. They are all a base yellow. Having proved there is a viable market in 2013, our plan is to replace the small mini-buses with electric/CNG trolleys seating 25-30 for the 2014 season and beyond. The trolleys will also be wrapped for the 2014 season so there is likely followup work. Thought it would be important to call it the RVA Hop first year using these Chevy vehcles, but then convert to RVA Trolley for the 2014 season when trolleys are actually used.

The wrap should incorporate the name, RVA Hop. it should also include compelling signage on three sides of the vehicle. two sides and rear. Richmond icons like the Main Street Station and the State Capitol may be good to include . Perhaps a subtle map of the actual route the Hop takes would be good as background on the wrap. audience is tourists so signage should play to them.

We also need a similar/complementary wrap for a 5 small sales kiosks which will be used in high traffic pedestrian areas to sell tickets to the RVA Hop. these will be manned booths. a small octagonal kiosk # 6, in the images you will see is what I would like to work with.

I have increased winners take by $250. I would like to ask designers to take their designs and wrap both an enclosed trolley which has been provided in initial background info as well as an open air San Francisco style trolley.. All trolleys will run on rubber wheels with electric motors. ( no overhead wires or tracks)

Please use RVA Trolley on trolley wraps . Not RVA hop. Thank you!

I added couple photos of open air trolleys, which will be part of the fleet. I would like to ask you to add your wrap to one or all of these as well.

Thanks!

Requirements
Must have
  • Must have our logo incorporated. will attach this. All 7 vehicles are the same model and color, yellow, so this has to be the background color. Kiosk has to be #6 on the uploaded Booth concept images.
Nice to have
  • Like to have the route on the two sides as a backdrop if not too "busy".. Possibly incorporate kangaroo images to amplify "hop",
Should not have
  • Do not use 'Trolley' or trolley images in any of the verbage or pics as we will not be using trolleys in 2013
