Logo Design Brief
Need a logo for new online business that specializes in making bookshelf sized dioramas for historic military miniatures. I want to incorporate the image of a Templar Knight who is kneeling, bracing on his sword, in a moment of reverence after a battle. I've included a rough sketch in File 6.
Think of Sacred Ground as a battlefield where men have fought and died. A special place, a hill or piece of land that has become sacred because men died there in battle. This is the feel that I want my logo to have.
I want to keep the colors simple; gray-scale black and white with red on both crosses -chest and shield and a touch of red hue mixed into the groundwork to represent the color of blood. Remember that the name of the company includes SACRED GROUND so the groundwork that the Knight is kneeling on is just as important as the kneeling Knight. The shield should be battle scarred. See File 8 for an example of a battle scarred shield.
The logo should be able to transfer clearly to a business card, a polo shirt or baseball cap, as well as a full size banner or poster.
If you have an idea or powerful image that will keep within the theme of "Sacred Ground" that does not include a kneeling knight, then feel free to create it. I'm open to all ideas as long as they convey the feel of Sacred Ground.

Hello Designers.
I've added four more images to the Files of my brief that I'd like you to consider in your designs. They show examples of cross designs that I like for shield and chest of knight. Also an image about sword size and placement. Thanks.

Target Market(s)
My business will cater to a very small demographic of mostly men in the 25-75 age group. They are middle to upper-class who have the disposable income to spend $50 to $300 on a single painted figure. They usually have many figures in their collection. They are usually well educated in military history especially in the genre they collect: Templar Knights, Saracens, Napoleonic Wars, Roman legion, Spartans, WWI, WWII, ect. They are not to be confused with the Warhammer war games or fantasy Dungeons and Dragons type of collectors. These two genres rarely mix.

Requirements
Must have
- -Serious tone
-Text- SACRED GROUND DIORAMAS
- LOGOS MUST CONVEY THE FEEL OR THEME OF SACRED GROUND
Nice to have
- -Battle weary Templar Knight image in the logo
-Templar Sword- not too short
-Battle scarred Shield
-The most important part of the image is the ground that the knight is kneeling on. It should have some tones of red to signify blood-soaked ground but not look like he's standing in a puddle of blood..
Should not have
- -comedic, funny tone
- I don't want the image of sacred ground to be a cemetery or to come across as a religious theme.
-Definitely No Fantasy Knight,s, Dungeons and Dragons type Knight, or Warhammer type knights.
