Logo Design Brief
Bluetector is a clean-tech startup company in Switzerland. We have developed a new wastewater treatment technology that can process problematic and difficult wastewater that contains chemicals or toxins. We also extract a high quality renewable oil from wastewater. With our BlueBox we clean wastewater into clean water onsite (meaning where the waste is generated) instead of having to haul the waste to a sewage treatment plant.
We need a logo for the company that somehow manages to transmit the meaning of Bluetector: technology, water, protection . . . The logo can either be "simply" the designed word Bluetector, or the word Bluetector together with a hint at what our technology does (cleans wastewater and/or extracts oil). Bluetector is in need of a very modern or cool logo. It should not look in any way similar to our existing logo. We are not yet sure if the new logo should contain a water drop or not, but we are definitely open to something radically new. All the designers that have been invited to this Logo design project have been chosen because of their outstanding logo work for water or oil that caught our eye.
A version of the logo should also contain the slogan: "Water & Oil" or "Water and Oil". The logo should also work on dark backgrounds, and also in black and white. The logo should also contain a standalone "button" that can be used to represent Bluetector by itself.
Updates
This is a general update:
What I do not like is splitting the Word "Bluetector" into "Blue" and "Tector". It does not make sense in my view to split this artificial name creation into two words.
This is in contrast to our product, the BlueBox, where it would make totally sense to split the name into two words.
I will prolong the deadline until the weekend to give some more individual feedback and wait for changes.

Hello,
I have selected my favorites for the logo design competition of Bluetector. I have split my favorites into two categories:

From one of these designs I will choose the new logo of Bluetector in the next 48 hours or so.
I will be in contact with some of the designers of these pre-selected designs where I would like to see some more changes or variations.
Thank you all for participating in this competition and making my choice already at this stage very, very hard. Some of the designs I have not pre-selected were really beautiful.
The hardest part is still to come - to choose a single winner.
