Logo Design Brief

We are after a Logo Design for our premier product line: “Deeveeant”

We need both the word “Deeveeant” and the character.

The word Deeveeant is a play on the word “deviant” and was conceived as a fun, cheeky, mischievous, rascal, edgy “ant” character - hence Deevee”ant”

Our current ant character is/was a little tired and overly complex, and we are after a logo design that will carry across all media types.

Boldness. Simplicity. Recognisable. Striking.
Visually eye-catching and easily recognisable as the Deeveeant brand.

This will be used both on our website, and also in print on physical product manufacture, and incorporated into the name of our premier product - Deeveeant Numb anesthetic cream.

But as we expand our range, including the possibility of branching into clothing, we need this logo/branding to be able to fit that as well.

We are in the beauty/personal health/personal care niche.

Target market is 25-40 year old, male/female.

We would also like the design to NOT be reliant on a color “scheme” or color interaction for its effectiveness.

By this I mean...Remember the old rainbow colored apple of Apple computers many years ago? And look at how it is much cleaner now and could be printed in different color variations without losing its recognisability. That is what we are after.

Attached is a design of a logo we had done that utilises a clever ant head within the letter “D” of the DVA. It’s ok.

But keep in mind the silver coloring of that DVA is a little complicated and might not finish so good on manufactured printed products.

As for colors, so far we have used orange and black as we thought those both neutral, bold, and when done right can work well together.

The choice of colors is at designers discretion, but as stated we could well in the future have a line of products with blue/black, or red/black, or red/orange, or silver/orange, etc etc, so the design is more important than the colors.

We do NOT want cartoony, childlike ants as our logo, those entries will be discarded immediately.

This is the fun part of the design and why I am asking for your help and expertise.

Keep in mind the fun, cheeky, mischievous, rascal, edgy “ant” character that was first conceived and the target demographic is 25-40 year old, male/female.

A stylised character could/would work well, but CANNOT be too complicated due to the printing process, and the idea that too much design can detract the eye.

We want to ATTRACT the eye!
