Logo Design Brief

Heritage slate roofing is the name of the company i'm looking to start up in Sydney Australia. The company installs traditional slates and shingles.
I'm looking for a classic design, maybe a shield and want the colours to be green and gold.
I was thinking of using a picture of two traditional slate hammers crossing over with the silhouette of a roof in the background and the name of the business in traditional writing within the logo
