Logo Design Brief

We are a small ski team in North Dakota thats needs a new logo. The majority of a races are held in Canada and we would like the new simple logo to subtly represent that we are from the U.S. Maybe star or something on that line. Prefer to use red and white in the logo so it shows up on either navy or black clothing. Attached are a couple ideas. Also like a distressed star idea. Has to be able to embroidered.
