We are a small Lutheran church located in Vancouver, WA called Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. We have a few different logos in use and no defined brand in place. We are looking to take our communications (both inward and outward) to the next level, beginning with a new logo that will eventually be used for print, a new website, media, t-shirts, publications, etc. We are looking for a logo that is easy to reproduce and display. We also have a preschool within our church which is a ministry of the church. I've attached a file that explains our core values. It is a rich document that is a lot to digest, but felt some may get a better sense of our culture from this document. Otherwise, some key words we have for inspiration are:
Outreach, community, believers, open, purpose, nostalgic, contemporary, educate, family, forward thinking, relational.
Target Market(s)
Everyone, literally. Followers of Christ and those who may not yet know about Christ or have a relationship with Him.

Requirements
Must have
- Must be able to switch from a color design to B&W, as the logo will often be reproduced in B&W. Looking more for pictorial/combo style but would entertain an emblem, so both styles were selected as options.
Nice to have
- A bonus would be a logo where the words "and Preschool" could be added and removed as needed for different uses.
Should not have
- No gradients. No more than 3 colors. We are not looking for a literal translation of Good Shepherd (sheep, staff, shepherd, etc.) in a logo.
