App Design Brief

We need a smooth, simplistic and intuitive design for a social image sharing application.

Expanding on the concept of snapchat, we seek to create an application that allows the user to take photos. But instead of sharing the images with individuals like snapchat, each image is shared with everyone on a large screen/projector in a public space. Images on the screen is only shown until someone takes a new picture (and the last image is deleted).

Furthermore the app features a challenge system, where users are able to send out anonymous requests to other random users (ex: "Take a selfie with John", "Take a picture of at least 15 figers" etc). Another (random) user receives the challenge and can respond by taking a picture of whatever is requested. The challenge text is automatically added as the description to the image.

The app is intended to be used at small parties and other private events and should therefore have feature to create / join a group by using a small 4 digit code.

Target platforms: iPhone and Android

Features:
- Create or join group (creating gives you a 4 digit code. Other users can join same group by using the 4 digit code)
- Take picture and share it on large screen
- Add short description/text to picture (like snapchat, limited to 140 characters)
- Create challenges to other users (text limited to 140 characters)
- Recieve push notification with challenges from other users
- Respond to challenge by taking a picture. The challenge is automatically added as description to the image.

What we need.
-A design that supplements the above features. It could be one screen (with interface above the camera feed like snapchat) or multiple screens. It is up to you.
-App icon

Example of use-case for the different features

CREATING AND JOINING A GROUP
-Person A hosts a party with friends B,C,D
-Person A creates a new group and receives a 4 digit id: 1234. He now opens a webpage on a computer in the room of the party and logs on with the code he received in the app
-Person A tells his friends B,C,D at the party to download the app and log on with id: 1234

TAKING PICTURES WITH DESCRIPTIONS
Now that every party member in the room is connected to the same group they can begin taking pictures.
-C takes a picture of B making a funny face. The picture is automatically uploaded to the server and displayed on the webpage (everyone at the party can no see it and laughs a B's funny face)
-B responds by taking a silly picture of A and adds the description "He looks like an old lady". The old picture of B is now deleted and the new picture is displayed on the webpage with the description on top of it. (and now visible for everyone)

CREATING AND RESPONDING TO CHALLENGES
-Person D creates a challenge: "Take a picture of at least 15 fingers"
-The challenge is randomly send to any of the other users in the group. A receives the challenge.
-A needs to group up with B in order to capture a picture with at least 15 fingers. He takes the picture and sends it
-The picture of the fingers is now displayed on the webpage (deleting the last one) with the description from the challenge showing that he indeed succeeded in completing the task

Target Market(s)

Adults attending social events/parties. The typical user might not be a heavy smartphone user and the design needs to be intuitive enough to use without the need for an introduction.
