Logo Design Project

This is what Grand River Insurance was looking for in their logo design

We need a logo design for a new company called Grand River Insurance.

The back story is that the company will be located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but we don't want to localize the logo. While Grand Rapids is located at a rapids on the Grand River, every state has a Grand River. We thought a logo of a river would be too boring, so we'd like to use a bridge over a river as the logo. And one thing Grand Rapids, Michigan has is some handsome bridges over its river. Pictures attached. Perhaps some generic building outlines as well.

A word about the audience: the company will be an insurance agency selling insurance, via other agents, to small business owners.

So we'd like something not too consumer-brand looking, something stately and professional but not as boring as Goldman Sachs' logo with the name in a box. Something modern, fairly simple.
