Evolution Project For A School District Logo Redesign

This is what Snoqualmie Valley School District was looking for in their logo design

I am looking to "evolve" our school district logo. The current logo is fine, but it's very intricate. It doesn't embroider well, and doesn't work well when it needs to be one color. I am not looking for a complete overhaul of our logo, but something that is fresh and modern.

The elements still need to contain the mountains, waterfall and crescent moon. We live in an area that features these items (links below). The current colors are not ideal and the colors that will be featured in this logo will be what drive our website redesign. I don't mind blues and greens, I just don't care for the neon-ish green we currently have and the gradient sky is a challenge for printing. Once we choose a circular logo, I would like an alternate logo created within the same family that can be used horizontally. Then I would like different versions to complete a branding guide so I can have specific instructions on what logo to use on a different color background, but that will come in time… Read more
