I've updated the request a bit for color requirements.

Start with the design I've attached, but it's not as good as I want. DNA is too long and stretched out and doesn't shout "DNA", I don't like the way they've tried to integrate the "does not equal" sign, and I think I want "Family" perpendicular to the overall direction of the rest of the piece. I would also like some colored highlights to the jester (I've included a pic of that for reference as well) and maybe in the DNA strand? Also I do not like the way they've just stamped the initials at the bottom - any way to work them in better? Lastly, I'm not sure the jester's face will translate well into a tattoo?

Will be on forearm from elbow to wrist, roughly 20 or so centimeters

Lastly, everything else I have is black/white. For this one I don’t want overwhelming color, I’d like to make the jester (and maybe the DNA?) pop with maybe some highlights, but not full color.

Closest design so far. Still feels a bit "disjointed" yet, the three different elements don't seem to flow together. I'd like to see the initials integrated a bit more and the DNA pop a bit more.

I've sent feedback to three, here it is for the group:

This is along the lines of one of the top three I'm looking at. I like the way color is integrated into the overall DNA strands but isn't too overwhelming. I'm not sure I like the Jester rendering in this one and the message is supposed to be "DNA does not equal family". That doesn't come across in this one, it seems to say more that DNA is family, the opposite of what I'm lo0oking for. Again, I like the colors and overall idea though.

I like this one, if you could incorporate the colors into the DNA in a similar manner, not overwhelmingly, that would be close. Lastly, the message is "DNA is not family", this tattoo says to me that DNA is family. If you have to use words somehow to get that point across, along with the colors incorporation into the DNA that would probably be the best?
